SPICE ROAD x Divana

SPICE ROAD x Divana

Where Fragrance Meets Memory. When Sunrise Meets Song Wat.

At Bangkok Design Week 2025, a sensory collaboration unfolds—bringing together the ancient scent of spice and the radiant energy of morning light.

Located in Song Wat, one of Bangkok’s most historic trade districts, Spice Road is an immersive art installation by artist collective Vice Versa, weaving together the aromas of the spice trade and the cultural soul of the neighborhood. The district—home to ports, riverside warehouses, and age-old commerce—has long been a gateway of exchange, both local and global. One thing that still lingers: the warm, heady fragrance of spice in the air.

This installation, housed in the Charoen Wattana Warehouse, pays tribute to the spice trade’s past and its impact on Thai lives across generations. The artists worked with local materials—ropes, sacks, nets, and traditional tools of trade—to create an intricate structure that holds and preserves the scent of history itself.

And for the first time, history meets harmony in scent.

In collaboration with Divana, Thailand’s leading luxury spa and fragrance house, the installation features a specially crafted aromatic sachet:
“Song Wat” — a tribute in scent.

Infused with the refreshing and luminous SUNRISE Perfume Oil—Divana’s iconic blend of Cedarwood, Jasmine, and Black Pepper—this unique sachet embodies the energy of a new dawn while rooted in the earthy richness of spice. It evokes a sense of travel through time, memory, and place.

It’s not just a fragrance. It’s a story told in air.

By combining Divana’s philosophy of Sustainable Luxury with immersive artistry, the project brings a new dimension to fragrance storytelling. Locally sourced materials, conscious craftsmanship, and cultural heritage come together in a contemporary sensory experience that bridges past and future.

The SPICE ROAD x Divana collaboration is now on view at Charoen Wattana Warehouse, Song Wat, as part of Bangkok Design Week 2025, running through February 23, 2025. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a scent that connects people, time, and place—through history, art, and memory.
